Presses

Cropper, Charlton & Co. Peerless 7x11

This is the main press which is a medium sized treadle operated press, originally owned by a forerunner of British Leyland in Birmingham and found its way here via Ben Brundell, the previous owner.

Adana Model 2B

An early Adana Flatbed press. According to the author of "The Adana Connection", Bob Richardson,
"The 2B dates from circa 1935 (or perhaps even later) and was recommended by Adana as 'a simple proofing press, although capable of much more.' It retailed at £2.18s.6d."

Adana 8x5 and 5x3

These are the most widely available presses today, although they have not been made since the early eighties. Many thousands were manufactured in the U.K and there are usually several available on eBay.
